Inspired by the timeless beauty of the Australian landscape, the Guniimaa Collection is the collaborative vision of two designers, one a proud Kamilaroi woman whose deep connection to Country, land, and sea is woven into every design. Guniimaa — a word meaning Mother Earth — is a name that carries the entire philosophy of the collection.
Developed in partnership with Tidda Interiors and produced by German manufacturer ANKER, Guniimaa is a sophisticated commercial carpet tile solution for spaces seeking beauty with meaning.
The Vision
As a proud Kamilaroi woman, the designer carries with her a deep and lifelong connection to her mob, her Country, and the living culture that has shaped her identity. The Kamilaroi people are the Traditional Custodians of a vast stretch of country across north-west New South Wales and south-west Queensland — a landscape of wide plains, ancient rivers, and open skies.
Drawing inspiration from the earth and its elements, the collection reflects the colours, textures, and rhythms that define Australia’s natural environment. Rich earth tones echo the warmth of the bush, while flowing patterns capture the movement of water, the rugged textures of ancient rock formations, and the intricate beauty of native flora and fauna.
Each design tells a story of connection, celebrating the contrasting power and serenity of the oceans, the resilience of the land, and the ever-changing colours of the seasons. From the subtle shifts of light across the landscape to the bold contrasts found in the Australian bush, the Guniimaa Collection embodies both strength and tranquillity.
More than flooring, these carpets bring a sense of place into the built environment, creating spaces that feel grounded, authentic, and connected to the natural world. They honour an Indigenous understanding that we do not own the land; rather, we are part of it. This philosophy of respect, belonging, harmony and responsibility is reflected throughout the collection.
Three Ranges, Three Stories
Three carpet tile ranges, each grounded in the textures of Country, bring the essence of Mother Earth into modern environments. From the bushland-inspired softness of Thulu to the fossil textures of Yuundu and the flowing rhythm of Gali, Guniimaa is a sophisticated solution for spaces seeking beauty with meaning.
Gali — Water / Rhythm
Inspired by coral formations and the rhythmic patterns found in nature, Gali reflects the deep connection between water and Country. Its layered texture brings subtle movement and a sense of calm to interior environments.
Coral (F215108) captures the organic forms of coral and the rhythm of water against Country.
Reef (F2151) — the reef’s organic form is reminiscent of the intricate patterns found in First Nations paintings, where layered dots and natural motifs often reflect a deep connection to land and sea. This visual similarity creates a subtle cultural reference while reinforcing the marine theme of the design.
Yuundu — Rock / Fossil
Inspired by ancient fossils, Yuundu captures the raw texture of rock surfaces etched with story and spirit. A grounded, earthy design that brings cultural depth to contemporary spaces.
Fossil (F-2296) speaks to the surface of rock — raw, textured, and marked by time.
Mineral (F2160) draws from what lies within. Its cool, layered tones reflect the subtle colour shifts found in stone, sediment and earth, creating a refined, understated palette that grounds any interior with quiet depth.
Thulu — Forest / Bark
With organic linework echoing tree bark and canopy forms, Thulu draws from the textures of Country. Subtle layering gives this design a natural rhythm and refined tactility that elevates shared environments.
Dappled (F2290) captures the movement of light through a forest canopy — layered, natural, and quietly alive.
Botanic (F-229003) — with its softly mottled surface and subtle tonal shifts, Botanic captures the filtered light and layered textures of the Australian forest canopy. Inspired by the organic forms of bark, lichen and leaf, this colourway brings a quiet, grounded energy to shared environments.

Produced by German supplier ANKER using energy-efficient processes, the collection is manufactured using Aquafil eco-friendly solution dyed fibre with a sustainable PE backing containing optimally matched layers of latex, bitumen and PVC-free components, delivering exceptional laying and lying properties with genuine cultural significance.
